Benjy and I have been together since 1998. He was finishing dental school, and I was working in my first ‘real job’ after college when we started dating. We started going to the Fredericksburg area several times during the winter months for visits to the family’s hunting lease. This evolved to visits in the spring, just the two of us, to enjoy the beauty of the area. Back then, there were wineries to visit, but what really stood out to me were the older houses that provided a quaint home-away-from-home. I can’t count the number of times we said it would be great to live in the area and run a B&B.
Fast forward…its 2018 and our wine shop has a guest suite upstairs. How fun! I’ll get to run a tiny B&B, on top of serving wine. This is going to be awesome!
