Products I Recommend

In lieu of carrying boutique items at Perspective Cellars, we are helping other businesses by sharing wine-related products that we like here. You can easily purchase the items through your Amazon account, and each item is coming from a producer or business owner through Amazon and to your door. We love feedback, so share if you like this concept and if you have any wine-related products you think we should know about.

Happy shopping!

Our Book Club has been popular with our Wine Loving locals! The next meet up will be Monday, September 14th at 7pm and our book is Judgement of Paris. Pick up your copy at Perspective Cellars or order it here.

Our first official Wine Book Club met last night and was a big hit. So, our next book will be “The History of Wine in 100 Bottles” I’ve started the book already and it’s an easy read. Very casual writing style with one or two pages for each wine that is presented, pictures and only about 200 pages. It’s great, even if you’re not a big reader. So, pick up the book here, and message me to get in the club! Even those who are not local are welcome, as you can video conference in our next meet up on June 22nd!

One of my favorite white wine pairing snacks is the lemon meringue. These little bites are light and crisp, and low calorie! They pair well with Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc & Pinot Grigio. What’s more, they are excellent crumbled on vanilla or strawberry ice cream. Yum!

While I may personally strive to finish a bottle I’ve opened, the reality is that some nights, I need just one glass, and need to save the rest. We did a wine class back in November where we test out 13 different ways to preserve an open bottle of wine. Simply putting the cork back in it and refrigerating it will hold up for a day, easily. But if you need to hold the wine fresh for a few days before revisiting the bottle, then VacVin is the winner! This reasonably priced system is a must at my wine shop, in the home of any wine enthusiast, and is a great gift for any wine lover you know.

This little gadget, the Echo Dot, is a great way to stream music at home or at work. I have three at Perspective Cellars that are linked together to all play the same Amazon music station. I prefer Sinatra Station most days! And more than just a speaker, the Echo is voice activated to do things like answer simple questions, tell you the weather forecast, and even place a phone call for you. It does way more than I use it for, and I still love it!

I’m a sucker for pretty glass and crystal vessels. This decanter is not only beautiful, but works well to aerate your bold red before you enjoy it.

If you’ve joined us at Perspective Cellars for our weekly wine class, you’ve seen the Chirpy Bird pourer we use. This little fella allows oxygen into the pour spout as the wine is being poured. And it makes a cute little birdie sound.  You can get a Chirpy Bird of your own. Or, even better, join us for class on Thursday, August 6th at 7pm and learn about aerators and even test which one is the best.

While I’m a ‘professional’ and certainly know how to use a wine key, sometimes its just easier to go with a gadget. This electric wine corkscrew by Rabbit is quick and easy. I never have an issue with a cork crumbling, and its simple to use. I’m a multi-tasker, and can literally open a wine bottle one-handed while I’m stirring what on the cooktop for dinner with the other! Great gift idea for the wine lovers in your life.

Learn more about how wine was used as an influencer in war. Read the book now and join us for a book club chat via Zoom video at 7pm on Monday, May 18th. Email TravelingWineLady@mac.com for more information on our book club.

If you know me, you know I love to wear witty wine t-shirts. This is one I get compliments all the time, because, face it, I usually DO contain wine!

We’ve all done it…spilled wine. On my clothes, on the carpet, even had a bottle break in the trunk of my car once. Wine Away is hands down the best wine stain remover you’ll find!

When you stain your teeth from that red wine, Super Smile’s teeth whitening system is the easiest way to whiten them.  And it works! Just put a dab of the tooth paste AND the gel on your toothbrush and brush normally morning and night. In 30 days, you’ll be an average of 2 maybe 3 shades whiter.
